Summit County Veterans Service Commission

The Summit County Veterans Service Commission serves the Veterans and eligible family members according to Ohio Revised Code Section 5901.

The Summit County Veterans Service Commission (SCVSC) is led by Executive Director, Larry Moore, and is governed by five Commissioners who are nominated by their respective Veterans Service Organizations (VSO), and confirmed by the Summit County Court of Common Pleas.

Veterans Service Commissions are not funded by state or federal funding. They are funded by a percentage of real estate tax revenues that are generated within their respective counties.

AMVETS Post 176 is lucky to have three AMVETS Life Members currently serving the SCVSC as Commissioners. Only one may serve for AMVETS. Members of AMVETS Post 176 are shown below in bold print.
